I was just sitting here in my boyfriends room having my own little Kardashian Marathon (boy do I love this TV reality family) when I thought I should maybe update my little blog. Lately it's just been about outfits i've worn and as I much as I love doing them I want this blog to be a bit more then just 'LOOK AT WHAT I'VE THROWN TOGETHER TODAY'.
As it's raining or was raining quite heavily this morning I thought why not chuck together a rainy day post. Basically just a little nothing post on things you could do to keep you entertained while your stuck in doors, now some of the things i'll suggest are probably things people do anyway but hey who cares! This could be fun! And perhaps bring to light some things people may have forgotten they could do..
- Build a pillow fort! Remember when you were a little kid? These were so much fun to make, a hideaway in the middle of the room. I suggest grabbing your fave book or even bringing your laptop and some DVDs into the fort with lots of snack and chilling out. You could even take it that next step further and build a fort city like they did in the TV show 'Community'!
- Watch a film. This one is probably the most popular of the options. Infact this is my go to option on a rainy day haha. Whether it's going through your own personal DVD collection or going to your local cinema, this is an activity that is sure to keep you dry. Personally I prefer the stay at home option, you can microwave your own popcorn, pause the film when you need to pee or get a fresh drink AND you can snuggle up in bed or on the couch and never have to get out of your pyjamas haha.
- Read a book. Another option that is quite obvious but sometimes could be overlooked. There's nothing better then snuggling down with a good book, and the rain sounds in the background. I love the sound of rain, and I feel it can be a great mood setter for getting you into that tranquil, peaceful zone you get into when reading a book.
- Have an Indoor Picnic. This is something my my mum used to do for me and my sister in the school holidays. It's a fun twist on a much loved summer activity. Plus you don't have to travel far! We would go get our picnic materials (mum even splurging on Sparkling Grape juice so we could feel fancy and adult like), rent some videos and just have a fun mother-daughter experience. This school holiday activity could easily be transferred to a rainy day activity with your friends or special loved one.
I know the list isn't very long but there's some quality ideas there that will hopefully get you thinking on what you can do on a rainy day instead of flicking through the channels on the TV and longing for a sunny day..
Until next time...
